About

Joseph Golden is Professor of Music, University Organist and Director of External Relations in the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University in Georgia. He is also Organist/Choirmaster at Trinity Episcopal Church in Columbus.

Golden is active as a solo recitalist, improviser, composer and vocal coach. He has served the Schwob School as the Director of Opera for 30 years. He has served as a consultant for numerous new organ projects in the southeastern United States.

In the past, Golden served as Editor for Literature and Music for RILM Abstracts of Music Literature and was the permanent advisor to the Council for Creating Original Opera for the Metropolitan Opera Guild in New York City. He is a member of the American Guild of Organists, the National Association of Teachers of Singing, and Phi Mu Alpha music fraternity.
